These dinners have become a regular feature of the rowing calendar as local Associations and parents have banded together to raise funds for the Under 23 and Junior campaigns which are not funded by SPARC. For many the "Congratulations you have been selected...." is soon followed by "That will cost you $........"

It seems that Bike Nz are following in the footsteps of their British Counter part and looking to broaden their talent pool ahaed of the 2012 Olympics. In the UK Rowing's Silver medalist, Rebecca Romero, made the switch after Athens and bagged a gold in Beijing. The question is can New Zealand do the same?
