Nearly 2000 athletes in more than 1300 crews have assembled for the biggest Maadi Cup regatta held in the SI at Twizel - Updates and report here and fuller information at www.maadi.co.nz or important tweets at rowingnz twitter (link in top right)
Wednesday Once again we are hopefull of a days racing - once again it is good conditions for racing with a slight cross head wind. Tuesday Flat Water and Fast times will be the order of the day - great for racing
Monday The days racing pulled up 50 races short for the day so we will try again tomorrow to get a full race programme completed. Has been a stop start morning with the boys under 15 quad and the girls under 15 eights getting a particularly rough time. The howling wind at 6.00 am has given way to steady rain an no wind, so conditions are ideal for a 8.00 am first race. Live results will be available on the rowingnz site. If you are filtering the results note that the filter is case sensitive. ("Double" with the "contain" filter will find all doubles information but "double" will not)
Rob Bristow is photographing the regatta from the bank and later in the week from the water If you see a little white catamaran chasing your race then you may find your pic there - A link to his site is www.rowingimages.com
