The scene at Karapiro will be very different when racing returns to the Lake this season.
The Community centre, being built by Waipa District Council has been taking shape and it is clear to see the outline of the final structure. With the completion of the Rowing New Zealand High Performance and administration centre there is now a modern and fresh look to the whole area.All this work is being done in time for the World Rowing Championships which are due to start in just over a years time.  While there will be some inconvenience during the upcoming regatta season the Rowing Community will appreciate the investment and the confidence that the local council have in the sport.
